Conflict-literacy workshop

This work is for teams, organisations, and collectives who:

​

• Experience recurring tensions or unspoken conflict

• Work across difference (roles, cultures, values, perspectives)

• Want more than communication tips or conflict avoidance

• Are willing to slow down and look at what is really happening

People are not short on goodwill, but on skill. 

Conflict often shows up indirectly: in resistance, withdrawal, gossip, or “polite agreement” that doesn’t last.

 

Without ways to notice and work with these dynamics, without skill to confidently move into difficult conversations, people either suppress conflict or become polarised by it.

A practical, embodied workshop that helps groups understand how conflict works — and how to stay in conversation when things get uncomfortable.

In this workshop, participants:

• Learn to recognise different phases of conflict

• Develop tools for expressing difference and tension

• Practice staying present with strong emotions

• Explore how conflict can generate insight and creativity

The workshop is grounded in Processwork and Lewis-Deep Democracy, and adapted to the specific context of the group.

I work with what is present in the room — including tension, difference, humour, and uncertainty — rather than trying to resolve or bypass it.

Depending on the context, I draw on Processwork and Lewis Deep Democracy.

My work is informed by years of leading participatory creative projects, working with artists, refugees, and organisations in complex social contexts.

I have trained in Processwork, Lewis - Deep Democracy, systems change, and embodied facilitation practices, and I continue to work at the intersection of conflict, creativity, and systems insight.
